Hi! Welcome to Tim Requarth’s web portfolio. I’m an award-winning freelance reporter and writer, recovering neuroscientist, as well as Lecturer in Science & Writing at New York University. My work explores the role of science in society, with stories on everything from the the flaws in forensic science to COVID-19 misinformation. I’m a contributing writer at Slate, and have also written for the The New York Times, The Nation, The New Republic, Foreign Policy, Scientific American, and many others.
